Construction Announcement

I’m happy to announce we now have a signed contract for the construction of our new fellowship hall. Willard Helmuth construction of Arthur will be the general contractor. The cost came in at just over one million dollars, which is more than the committee was hoping for but in line with the architects earlier estimate.
Scheduling of work has already begun, and we have had utility companies and contractors sleeving pipes, removing gas lines, and such in preparation for work to begin. The builder estimates the project to take 32 weeks to complete. Soon the three trees, which must be removed, will be cut down to make way for the footings.
I’m hopeful we will see steady progress now as we begin the construction phase of the project, and I plan to keep updating everyone as things progress. I want to thank the entire building committee for hours of meetings and research that got us to this point. I could tell each member had the churches best interest in mind and wanted to end up with the best product we could afford.

You can now expect the finance team to begin asking for donations to increase because we are only about half way to completion of fundraising.

God bless everyone, have faith, and keep giving.

Thank you,
Bruce Oye
