January 2017 Food Pantry News

I received an exciting phone call from Dutch Valley Meat in Chesterville.  They had ground meat from two deer that was donated to the food pantry.  The government used to pay the processing for donated meat but starting last year the hunter must pay this fee.  Last year we didn’t receive any venison, but this year two generous hunters changed all that.  We are so blessed for their generosity.  I divided the meat between several families and they were all thrilled!
The pantry is starting to get low in some areas.  We need chili beans, soup, saltine crackers, canned fruit, Kleenex, and cereal .
As always, thank you for supporting this outreach project.
